I would like to take this chance to say that my skillstrain course is going really well, and I'm more than happy with my progress with this course(IT course)I've only been doing it for around 5 months and my current employers have let me do more on the pc formats and help improve the way we work ,even though I'm a delivery driver, I've been in the warehouse and helped out with the pc, in time I hope to find a new job in IT, and with your help and my hard work I'm hoping this will come reality and not just a dream, I'm looking forward to the rest of my course and completing my career move into IT and be a success and I believe I will with this course work as been set out brilliantly.

Since finishing my previous job 3 years ago to support my wife who was suffering with post natal depression at the time, I myself began to suffer from the effects of severe depression, which gradually sent me on a never ending downward spiral. My life lacked purpose and meaning, since starting my course with skillstrain slowly but surely I have regained my life's purpose, which is to better myself not only for me but to support my children through their lives and give them the things I never had while I was growing up. I am now more focused and determined to succeed!!!!!!!

I am a new student and have only completed 2 TMA so I am well aware I have a long way to go with my course. I do however feel that I have shown determination and drive to make sure I get the most out of this course.

Why? Because first of all, I signed up for the course with the intention of getting my career on track. I have invested in a very powerful PC which May affect how much I spend on presents this year.

I have also got myself a connection to the internet from home so a lot of time and effort as gone into making my work space available with all the things I need to complete the course.

With my working environment sorted and the course being flexible, I won't have to worry about deadlines come Christmas. I can relax and enjoy the festivities and have my computer for music, games and DVD. :)

If I hadn't have signed up with the skillstrain, I wouldn't have had such a good system in my rooms for the fun and games I shall have this Christmas.

My new SkillsTrain course will give me a feeling of a real prosperous year ahead. I started the course around a month ago and, up until this time, have been stuck in the same job for around five years with no opportunity of personal development.

Since starting the course has lifted a weight of my shoulders and made me excited of the future instead of the opposite. Understanding the importance of personal development was revealed to me by my father and we decided, since I had to keep working, to study in my own time.

This Christmas will be the first Christmas that I will feel as though my life has direction.

Before I start this course I knew very little about computers, what skills train did for me was showing me the path I should take to have a career in the field I can be good at and get better job and achieve more. It took me a while to get my head around some of the subjects I was reading, they were new to me but I managed to learn them. At the beginning I was getting tired and yawning all the time, but I promised myself to continue studying despite working and being married and having two kids. It really is not easy but I am determined to finish the course as soon as possible. in the last month I worked harder and submitted more TMA's ,attended LIT's and revised some LIT's I have missed. Every day I learn more and more about computers, I managed to repair computers for some people through what I gained from studying with skills train and the help of the tutor team. My career will start right after finishing my course, I am so grateful to everyone helping me throughout my journey. I am very excited to start working in the networking field and put what I have learnt into practice. Thank you all and have a merry Christmas.

It has taught me that where I was unsure of a the tasks I was carrying out (eg. PC repairs) that I was actually right.
